Customs Launches Investigation Into Suspected Murder of Officer in Kano

The Headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has launched an investigation into the suspected murder of a Chief Superintendent of Customs, CSC Abdullahi Abdulwahab Maga, whose lifeless body was found in his Kano residence.

Confirming the development to  the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Monday, Customs Area Controller of Kano/Jigawa Area Command, Comptroller Dauda Chana who confirmed said the incident occurred at the deceased’s residence at Farm Center in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.

He said that the Headquarters has authorized the Customs Police Unit to conduct an intensive investigation in order to apprehend those responsible for the suspected murder of the officer.

NAN also reports The Nigeria Police Force is also investigating the incident and appealed to residents, especially neighbors of the deceased, to come forward with reliable information that will aid the apprehension of those involved in the killing.

News report earlier indicated that the late Magaji who until his tragic end served at the NCS Headquarters took his own life by allegedly shooting himself with a pump action gun.
