Former NIMASA DG, Jamoh, Mourns Passing of Mrs. Helen Beks

The immediate past Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, ESQ, OFR, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mrs. Helen Beks, wife of veteran maritime journalist and publisher of Shipping World Newspaper, Elder Asu Beks.
In a heartfelt condolence message to Elder Beks, Dr. Jamoh described the late Mrs. Helen Beks as “a truly remarkable wife, mother, friend, mentor, and community leader”, noting that her absence would be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

“I was profoundly saddened to hear about the passing of Mrs. Helen Asu Beks. She was a truly remarkable wife, mother, friend, mentor, community leader, and the void her absence creates will be felt by all who knew her,” Jamoh stated.
He further extended his deepest sympathies to Elder Beks and his family, assuring them of his prayers and support during this difficult period.
“Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you mourn this great loss,” he added.
Mrs. Helen Beks passed away a few weeks ago, leaving behind a legacy of service, mentorship, and dedication to her family and community. Her death has drawn tributes from across the maritime industry and beyond, reflecting the impact she made during her lifetime.
