Jibo, Bomodi, Salefu, 3 Others Makes Customs Mgmt Promotion List

Following openings in the management cadre, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi Friday August 23, 2024 announced the elevation and appointment of two Deputy Comptrollers General (DCGs) and four Assistant Comptrollers’ General to fill the space.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Customs National Public Relations Officer, CSC Abdullahi Maiwaida, stating that the development followed the statutory retirement of some members of the management team of the NCS.
Those appointed includes OA Alajogun – DCG Enforcement, Inspection
&Investigation (EI&I); BM Jibo – DCG, Finance Administration and Technical Services (FATS); T Bomodi – ACG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I); and OA Salefu – ACG Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), in acting capacity.
The statement reads: “The Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has approved key management appointments in acting capacities and redeployment to enhance strategic service delivery.”
A breakdown of the appointments and redeployments are as follows: DCG, BM JIBO – DCG, Finance Administration and Technical Services (FATS), Acting DCG, OA ALAJOGUN – Acting DCG, Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I).
Others are, Acting ACG, IG UMAR – Acting ACG Headquarters , Acting ACG, OA SALEFU – Acting ACG Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Acting ACG, BA MAKINDE – Acting ACG Human Resource Development (HRD) and Acting ACG, T BOMODI – Acting ACG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I).
The statement quoted the CGC saying “These appointments are a testament to the officers’ exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service. The service remains committed to providing strategic leadership to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for optimum performance.
“While thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious services, the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi congratulated newly appointed officers and charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation”, the statement added.
