Tantita Recommits To Crude Oil Monitoring And Protection
Says Social Economic Problems and Security Are Intertwined

The management of Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSL) has reaffirm its commitment to the monitoring and protection of the nation’s crude oil inclusive of all its distribution and transportation infrastructure, noting that all relevant stakeholders owes the nation the duty and responsibility of ensuring that the evil of crude oil theft is collectively fought and won.
Tantita’s Executive Director, Technical and Operations, Captain Warredi Enisuoh who made above declaration at the First Pan-Ijaw Economic Summit 2024 held in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital reiterated the commitment of the company to continue to win the fight against crude smuggling, noting that its efforts has resulted a sustained and progressive increases in closing the hitherto crude production imbalance.
Delivering a paper on infrastructure protection, security and prevention of oil theft, Enisuoh noted that the effective security of Nigeria’s public infrastructure and Oil reserves will to a large extent enhance the benefits to the people and the country; noting that insecurity thrives when social economic problems are left unattended.
Speaking on the economic advantages of particular vegetations and ecosystem the maritime security expert said the advanced economies area tapping deeply into the new economic world of carbon credit, and urged people in the rich oil and mangrove region and elsewhere to pay informed attention to their forest and vegetation types, with regards to their economic potentials.
He said, “With carbon capture, you have a lot of trees in these areas that can absolve CO2 from the atmosphere. If they do not pollute the environment any further, these trees can thrive. We will be able to take stock of these trees and be able to generate more income for companies around the world.
“Many of them are willing to partner with regions like this in exchange for Green Development to participate in industrial Development that is not going to create further carbon emission, creating more global warming and also be able to improve the Health and well-being of the inhabitants of the region alongside the development they are going to face“, he enthused.
Captain Enisuoh maintained that Tantita will continue to tackle the scourge of illegal bunkering through a comprehensive and inclusive strategy aimed at not only halting the illegal activities of crude oil theft but also educating and engaging those involved, in a determined drive to redirect their focus and help them engage legitimately in the other areas of economic availability, often overlooked because of the poor national orientation that makes crude oil, everything.
