TCIP Customs Boss, Nnadi mni, Bags 2 Awards of Excellence at CGC Awards Night

The Customs Area Controller of Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Comptroller Dera Nnadi, mni, together with his command has been honoured with an Award and Certificate of Excellence at the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Award Night Ceremony held on Friday, November 29, 2024 in Abuja.
The Excellence Award for Distinctive Performance and another Award of Excellence for work-place Transformation under his leadership has been celebrated by colleagues and stakeholders as deserving and timely.
According to a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Okwara, the award which reads: ‘Winner CGC’s Special Award For Work Place Transformation In Recognition of your Distinctive Performance and Commitment to the Ideas and Vision of the Nigeria Customs Service’ recognised the CAC and his command for his various achievements, transformation, and innovative solutions aimed at ensuring trade facilitation.
According to the statement, “Under the leadership of Comptroller Dera Nnadi mni, the command generated N1.2trillion in revenue into the government coffers between January and November 2024, and successfully remodeled the command administrative building built over 40 years ago.
Okwara disclosed that while the TCIP Area Controller dedicated the awards to officers and men of the command, he described the achievements as a result of teamwork, commitment and focus.
While thanking the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for the support given to the command and honour bestowed on him, Comptroller Nnadi described the award as a call for increased commitment even as he called for continuous support from port users and all stakeholders.
