Adeniyi, Customs Boss Award Dinner Postponed

The Nigeria Maritime Journalists (NMJ), a body of all media practitioners in the maritime subsector has announced the postponement of the scheduled award dinner, in honour of the  Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, earlier scheduled to hold today, Thursday, January 16, 2025.

Highly impressed by his unprecedented achievements in trade facilitation, enviable interagency collaborators, capped by a breathtaking revenue generation, the sector media practitioners had nominated the CGC for the award.

According to a statement made available by the group’s Organising Committee Chairman, Dele Aderibigbe, the postponement was compelled by circumstances beyond the control of the organisers.

The statement reads, “Owing to circumstances beyond our control, scheduled award dinner, in honour of the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, earlier scheduled to hold today, Thursday, January 16, 2025.

“We regret the shift in date, while working to fix a new date for the event; we deeply regret any inconveniences the postponement may cause our respected invited guests.”
