All Road Leads To ANLCA Table Tennis Tournament Today

As the much awaited maiden edition of the table tennis tournament being organized by the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Western Zone begins today, all roads leads to the Egbeda ‘Not Bad Sports Arena’ venue of the event, Lagos.
The tournament being organised in partnership with the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) at the Not Bad Sports Arena, 12 Dele Olupona Street, Egbeda, opposite Faith Academy, Gowon Estate Lagos, is holding today and tomorrow, December 7, 2024.
Already, the tournament has sparked interest among stakeholders as a lot of participants including clearing agents, customs personnel and other maritime practitioners have shown strong indication to participate.
Organizers of the tournament, Vice President of ANLCA, Prince Segun Oduntan and the Western Zone Chairman, Alhaji Femi Anifowoshe have said that entry into the competition is free, with a N10million grand prize.
Speaking about the event, Oduntan said, “We chose the end of the year when everyone is busy wrapping up. This timing lets us bring everyone together, stakeholders, fellow professionals, and colleagues to connect in a relaxed, enjoyable setting.
“Sports have a unique way of bringing people together, helping us unwind and build camaraderie.This is just a starting point for the association, and in future years, it may expand nationally. ANLCA is represented throughout the country, but we’re pioneering this here to set an example. If others see the value, they may join in, we’re one big family.”
According to the organizers, participating organizations are expected to field two players.
