B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G: Jamoh, Jime, Effedua, others Clinch Maritime Nigeria Awards 2022

Few weeks to the end of 2022, indications are abuzz that some Distinguished Maritime Personalities, (DMPs) have clinched the highly coveted Maritime Nigeria Maritime Awards, 2022, for their efforts and commitment to having a structured, organized, efficient and professionally manned maritime domain in Nigeria.
Arising from a combined management and editorial Board meeting held over the weekend, there was concensus among members of Data Resources Ltd, (Publishers, Trainers, Safey/Security and general Shipping Service providers) that the trio of Dr. Bashir Jamoh, Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, hon. Jime Emmanuel, ES/CEO, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, NSC and Commodore Duja Emmanuel Effedua, (rtd), Rector, Maritime Academy of Nigeria, MAN, bagged the Awards and recognitions on account of their dedication to national duty and commitment to ensuring improved efficiency in Nigeria’s maritime industry within the ambit of the mandate of their respective organizations.
Others in the list of DMPs are the Director General of the Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology, NITT, Zaria, Dr. Bayero Salih-Farah.
Some Customs officers also made the list of DMPs which shall be unveiled in due course alongside shortlisted personalities in the transport and logistics chain.
While congratulating the DMPs, the Publisher, Newsgate, Maritime Insider Maritime Nigeria and other titles, Mr. Kelvin Kagbare, said the Awards are a call to service, a requirement for greater commitment and added responsibility on the shoulders of the DMPs.
According to him “Many are called, it is a few that are chosen. We look not for perfection but for responsiveness, dedication and commitment to duty”.
“These the templates deployed to assess and the barometer used to measure work done, ground covered and mileage reached within the period”, Kagbare said.
