NIMASA Director, Osamgbi Loses Father
Father of the Director of Special Duties with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and safety Agency (NIMASA), Isichei Osamgbi, Pa Ogbueshi Alexander Chukwuma Osamgbi has passed on.
The Osamgbi family of Umu Nnikwu Village in Asaba Delta State, has also announced the funeral arrangement of their father and Diokpa Nnikwu, who passed on recently in Asaba at the glorious age of 96. According to the funeral arrangement, late Diokpa Osamgbi will be buried on Friday July 28,2023 at Nnikwu Village, Umuaji Asaba, after a requiem Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, West End, off Nnebisi Road, Asaba by 10am.
This will be followed by a reception at the Dome Event Centre, Okpanam Road, GRA, Asaba. Diokpa Osamgbi is survived by many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, amongst whom is Isichei Osamgbi, Mrs. Uzor Eluaka, Vice Principal, Zappa Basic Secondary School, Asaba, Lady Ndidi Okogba, of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Sir Peter Osamgbi, a businessman and Mrs. Eruke Omoyowuchowu Titiloye of the Coco Research Institute of Nigeria, (CRIN).
According to the family, preceding the burial a vigil Mass will has been scheduled to hold in his honour on Thursday July 27th, 2023 at Catholic Church of The Assumption(Zappa), Umuagu, Asaba, while the final traditional rites commences on Sunday July 30th at Nnikwu, Umuaji, Asaba, after the Thanksgiving Mass at Church of The Assumption (Zappa).
Ogbueshi Osamgbi a retired Civil Servant and community leader, worked across the country was a devote Catholic, and was said to have spent most of his time in charity work and service to his community, to the admiration of all who knew him.
