NPA names Nasiru new spokesman

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Thursday announced the promotion of former Asst. General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communications, Ibrahim Nasiru, to the next rank and named him the General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communications.
His promotion and appointment includes six other Assistant General Managers elevated to the rank of General Managers. According to a statement signed by the authority’s new spokesman, others beneficiaries are 10 senior staff who were announced Assistant General Managers.
According to the organization, the appointments which takes immediate effect is in line with the management’s commitment to motivate employees for service excellence.
The newly promoted GMs are as follows: Moltok Josephine Adar, formerly the Asst. General Manager – Overseas Office is now General Manager Servicom; Ahmad M. Umar, formerly the Asst. General Manager Accounts now General Manager Human Resources; Sheidu-Shabi Khadija Ife, formerly the Asst. General Manager Environment now General Manager MD’s Office; and Ngini Chukwuma, formerly Asst. General Manager Facility Management is now the General Manager, Lands and Asset Administration.
Others include former Asst. General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communications, Ibrahim Nasiru, who becomes the General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communications.
Former Asst. General Manager Finance, Odunsi Opeoluwa, becomes the new General Manager Finance; and Mohammed Shehu, formerly Asst. General Manager Procurement takes over as General Manager Tariff & Billing.
While congratulating them, Ag Managing Director, Mohammed Bello Koko said they should see their appointment odas a call to duty to give their best for the attainment of the vision of the NPA.
