Today, March 18, 2026, Prince Segun Oduntan (PSO), Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), will clock 60. Prince Oduntan’s professional journey began in customs brokerage, where his mastery of trade facilitation and compliance quickly distinguished him. Over the years, he has expanded his tentacles into diverse business ventures, proving himself a versatile entrepreneur with a reputation for integrity and foresight.

Detribalized Politics in ANLCA

Oduntan’s political philosophy within ANLCA has always been detribalized and pragmatic. A case in point was when former ANLCA President, Iju Tony Nwabuinike, failed to complete his tenure. Like a fire brand loyalist, Oduntan raised dust and insisted that the Igbo bloc within the association must look inward to produce a credible replacement. He spearheaded this campaign until the emergence of Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji as President.

Today, Oduntan serves loyally as Vice President under Nwokeoji, who has publicly acknowledged his deputy’s commitment.

Speaking on Oduntan’s role, Nwokeoji remarked: “Sege (Prince Segun Oduntan) is a loyal, worthy, and hardworking Vice President. His dedication to the association’s unity and progress is unwavering.”
