League Postpones Business Luncheon With MBE Minister, CEOs, Customs Boss
BY FUNMI ALUKO
The League of Maritime Editors and Publishers (LOME) have announced the postponement of its business luncheon earlier planned to hold tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10, in Lagos.
Public Relations Officer of the League, Mr. Francis Ngwoke in a statement attributed the development to the tight schedule of the Honourable Minister and those of his CEOs.
Ngwoke said the luncheon which was earlier scheduled to hold at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, is a high powered event organized to host the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola CON, as well as the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the parastatals under him.
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR is also expected to grace the occassion by virtue of its link with the maritime sector, Ngwoke explained further.
The statement co-signed by President of the League, Mrs Remi Itie, explained that the postponement of the luncheon is due to a clash with other events at FCT Abuja involving the Minister and his CEOs.
Mrs Itie who said a new date will be announced very soon, said that the luncheon will serve as a platform for the Minister and his CEOs and the leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service to unveil their development agenda for the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry for the coming year, 2025.
Also expected at the event titled ‘Achieving Impactful Gains on the Development Agenda for the Maritime Industry’ are select critical stakeholders.
