Quest Media Group Marks 20 Years with Landmark Maritime Lecture

Quest Media Group, publishers of TransQuest Monthly Magazine and transquestng.com, is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a high-profile lecture and awards programme on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Lagos Airport Hotels, Ikeja.

The Vigentennial Celebration, themed “Leveraging Nigeria’s Maritime Potentials to Drive Economic Growth,” will bring together leading voices in the transport and maritime sector for a one-day seminar designed to spark dialogue on unlocking Nigeria’s vast maritime opportunities.

The symposium will be chaired by Professor Bamidele Badejo, with Professor Iyiola Oni of the University of Lagos delivering the keynote lecture. Discussions are expected to focus on strategies to strengthen economic growth, enhance trade, and drive sustainable development through maritime innovation.

Among the distinguished guests anticipated are Dr. Pius Akutah Ukeyima, Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC); Dr. Dayo Mobereola, Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA); Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA); and Chief Kayode Opeifa, Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation. Senior officials from Customs, NDLEA, and other strategic agencies, alongside private sector leaders and maritime consultants, are also expected to attend.

The event will feature the Quest Awardees’ segment, recognizing organizations and individuals whose leadership and contributions have significantly advanced Nigeria’s transport and maritime industry.

Speaking ahead of the celebration, Editor-in-Chief of TransQuest Media, Mr. Felix Kumuyi, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to serving as a watchdog and platform for industry dialogue. “For two decades, we have ensured that the transport and maritime sector receives the attention it deserves in national development,” Kumuyi said.

The anniversary programme is expected to attract a wide audience of stakeholders, professionals, and enthusiasts eager to engage in meaningful discussions and celebrate two decades of impactful media advocacy.
