NSW Mgmt Opens Dedicated Support Centre in Apapa
BY KESIENNA SHEPHERDS
The National Single Window (NSW) platform, Nigeria’s digital trade facilitation portal, went live last Friday, days after its formal launch on Wednesday of the same week, marking a significant milestone in the Federal Government’s drive to streamline cargo clearance and reduce the cost of doing business at Nigerian ports.
With the platform now operational, the NSW management has opened a dedicated Support Centre to assist port users, freight forwarders, customs agents and other trade stakeholders who may be experiencing difficulties navigating the new portal.
In a viral message to all stakeholders by the management of NSW, it said “The Support Centre is located at 34 Wharf Road, Apapa, Lagos, positioning it at the heart of Nigeria’s busiest port corridor for easy access by industry operators.
“For those unable to visit in person, the NSW Helpdesk is available through multiple channels. Users can call 02018870011, reach out via WhatsApp on 07047002215, or send an email to helpdesk@nsw.gov.ng”
The NSW management urged port users to take advantage of the support infrastructure, stressing that seamless trade facilitation begins with proper onboarding onto the platform.
The National Single Window is a Federal Government initiative designed to consolidate all port-related documentation and regulatory processes on a single digital platform, eliminating manual bottlenecks and reducing cargo dwell time at Nigerian ports.
Its go-live marks the transition from pilot testing to full commercial operations.
