There are strong indications that the acting Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) in charge of ICT, ACG Malanta Yusuf has been reassigned and posted to TRADOC Gwagwalada.

According to grapevine reports, the redeployment of Malanta who was the immediate past Customs Area Controller of Apapa Command, appointed ACG and assigned as Ag.ACG ICT Department purportedly owing to his wealth of ICT experience and competence is with immediate effect, according to a circular believed to have been issued on Wednesday.

Although the reasons for his removal was still sketchy as at the time of going to press, usually dependable sources informed it was in connection to alleged unsatisfactory manner he was handling the affairs of the ICT, believed to have exposed the service to unwarranted revenue leakages.

It was revealed that the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd), approved the redeployment, allegedly to forestall further exposure of the service to revenue risks since the ICT department is critical to revenue administration.
