Adelaja Passes Leadership Flag To Salefu At FOU Zone ‘D’

The Ag customs area controller, J O Adelaja weekend, April 19, 2024 handed over the mantle of leadership of the Federal Operations Unit Zone ‘D’ Bauchi to Comptroller O A Salefu at the Unit Headquarters in Bauchi.
A statement by the Unit Public Relations Officer, DSC Umar Abdullahi quoted the outgoing controller as soliciting same support he received to his successor, even as he praised officers and men of the unit for their dedication to duty.

Also speaking, Comptroller Salefu appreciated the leadership and management of the service for the new assignment; and urged officers and men to remain focus and professional.
The statement reads: “Ag. Controller J O Adelaja handed over the mantle of leadership of the Federal Operations Unit Zone ‘D’ Bauchi to Comptroller O A Salefu yesterday 19-April-2024 at the Unit Headquarters in Bauchi.
“The outgoing Ag. Controller while delivering his speech thanked the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale MFR for the opportunity given to him to serve as the Ag. Controller of the Unit.”
While complimenting the unwavering commitment and dedication of the officers and Men of the unit, he urged them to extend the same to Comptroller A O Salefu and even more support to achieve the goals of the Service.
He said “I must commend you for your sacrifices, determination and persistence throughout my stay as the Ag. Controller FOU ZONE D Bauchi. Your hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence have been the driving force behind our collective achievement.”
Responding, the new Unit Controller gave all the glory to the Almighty God for the privilege of being assigned to the Unit and thanked the CGC and his management team for trusting him with the new assignment.
Addressing the officers he said “We are here to contribute our qouta of ensuring that the mandate of the service in revenue generation, anti smuggling, trade facilitation and most importantly National Security is achieved”
While expressing the desire to partner with every critical stakeholders’ particularly the security and sister agencies, he also sought media support and cooperation of the general public to carry to be able to serve the nation well.
