Festivities: Mustapha, ANLCA Chairman Felicitates Nigerians

The Chairman Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Alhaji Taiwo Mustapha enjoin members of the association to reflect on the greatness of the Almighty Creator whom he said abhors segregation, strife, religious intolerance and all forms of divisiveness as recently displayed when the Christian Lent coincided with the Islamic holy month of  Ramadan, which ended yesterday.

While thanking members of Anlca, maritime and frieght  industry players, he urged that members should use this religious period to improve individually on how to continue to promote  tolerance, social stability, cultural harmony and peaceful coexistence.

Mustapha who is away in Mecca for the lesser Hajj urged members of the association particularly, to make greater efforts at improving the unity needed to keep Anlca members one and to eschew acrimony and divisive tendencies for the collective good of all.

He prayed for good health and prosperity for all.

“I like to remind us to continue to make greater efforts to manifest the beauty of oneness that the Almighty Creator has emplaced in creation and implanted in us as part of His creatures.

“Religion is the quest to be pleasing and acceptable to God by doing what is right and just. When we create divisions, create fears and confusion, all in the pursuit of our  respective narrow and base ends, and sometimes even use religion as a weapon, it shows we lack understanding and sincerity.

“Just imagine the Lent and Ramadan happening in the same period, then, Ester and Sallah just days apart; it tells us that the Almighty Allah whom we strive to worship cannot be pleased whenever we adopt divisiveness galore.

“On behalf of my humble self and the BoT, l want to felicitate with all members of ANLCA and the larger industry family for being alive and well to celebrate this year’s Easter and Sallah.

“Here is also especially thanking our National Officers and the leadership, past and present, for helping to set aside the personal ambition and for sustaining the peace and progress we all yearn for.

“May happiness, joy, good health, understanding and mutual kind consideration for one another continue to find space in our hearts”, he prayed.
