CORRIGENDUM: Customs Intercept Navy Officer In Lagos Drug Bust

Yesterday, Monday August 25, 2025, our reporter Ggbogbowa Gbowa published a report with the above headline in which he inadvertently called attention to a purported illegal involvement of a naval operative, Sam Galayima in the movement of illicit drug substance known as ‘Loud’.

The management of Pinnacle Time has since discovered that the information relied upon by our reporter were inaccurate and unverifiable.

Moreso, the reporter neglected to seek clarification on the issue from the Nigerian Navy, raising red flags and making the said report one of impulse rather than due diligence which is the bedrock of journalism.

The management of the online newspaper regrets this professional lack of decorum and wish to tender its unreserved apologies to the Nigerian Navy and the personnel in question.
