Olomu Spiced Up Walk Against Drug Trafficking

Consistent with its determination to continually partner the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and sister agencies to wage a common war against drug trafficking and abuse, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) yesterday reinforced the commitment as it participated in the 2024 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, campaign show.

This is even as the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Apapa Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu PhD fsi, joined in the street walk show around the Apapa Port area, thereby taken the collaboration with sister agencies a notch higher.

A statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Abubakar Usman note that the CAC joined the Commander NDLEA, Apapa Special Area Command, and other government agencies in the port to bring awareness on the dangers inherent in drug abuse.

In a remark, the Customs boss noted that such collaboration between sister agencies of government is crucial for intelligence sharing and ensuring public safety.

He further noted that by working together, security agencies can achieve greater success and better protect their communities than they could otherwise, do alone.
