Leading private maritime security firm, Tantita Security Services  Nigeria Limited (TSSL) has said that for Nigeria to succeed in turning the tide of crude oil theft, sincere, purposeful synergy and collaboration must exist between inter-agencies and critical partners.

TSSL in addition noted that equally important is host community engagement and sustained deployment of advanced technology as key criteria and requirements to fight oil theft.

Tantita’s Executive Director, Operations and Technical, Captain Warredi Enisuoh who made above submission during the public hearing on crude oil theft  by the House of Representatives Special Committee on Crude Oil Theft  last Friday, emphasized that no other approach or strategy will suffice.

“The public hearing underscores the severity of crude oil theft in Nigeria and its far-reaching consequences. The need for inter-agency collaboration, community engagement, and advanced technology in fighting oil theft cannot be overemphasized,” he said.

Noting that the public hearing marks a significant step in the right direction towards addressing the scourge of crude oil theft in Nigeria, the ED Technical and Operations provided statistics on oil theft reduction in areas where they operate, also giving details of their surveillance and monitoring systems.
